Lindsay Wagner stole hearts all over the world when she appeared as the Bionic Woman in the 1970s sci-fi series. Now, the actress largely keeps out of the limelight and only appears in smaller roles.

Lindsay Wagner was born in Los Angeles, California on June 22, 1949. Her father, William Wagner, was a professional photographer, while her mother, Marilyn Wagner, was a building contractor. Her parents divorced when she was just 7 years old. Wagner went with her mother and settled in a suburb right outside Pasadena, California.
She ventured into the world of show business at a young age. She was 12 years old and babysitting for a family friend, actor James Best. He suggested Wagner join his acting class, and once she did, she was completely committed. As a child, she suffered from ulcers and reported that acting helped her with her pain. She once recalled, “Finally, I had a place where I could express my pain, and I felt safe because I didn’t have to put my name on it. I think acting kept me alive back then.”
Her first acting role was in a local production of This Property is Condemned by Tennessee Williams. She was a natural beauty from a young age and began modeling. She would often work with her aunt, Linda Gray.
She was signed to Universal Studios at a pay of $162 per week. She would play small parts in several productions. But in 1975, the studio had decided to drop her and offered her a final role in an episode of The Six Million Dollar Man. The program at the time was very famous, but Wagner was not too keen on it and only accepted the role as a birthday present to her half-sister Randi, who was a huge fan of the program.
It was a two-part episode titled “The Bionic Woman,” and Wagner played the role of an ex-tennis player who was Steve Austin’s childhood sweetheart. She gets injured in a sky-diving accident, and he tries to revive her using bionic body parts like his, but her body does not accept them, and she dies.
The character and Wagner’s performance were so compelling that Universal Studios received countless letters asking them to revive the character. They signed Wagner with a new contract that paid her much more. And came up with a story arc explaining that Sommers had not died but was cryogenically frozen till she could be revived.
This led to her spin-off series The Bionic Woman, which garnered an incredible amount of success. Now, Wagner is a household name because of how well-loved her show and character were.
These days, the 74-year-old actress is doing well. She recently posted pictures of her with her son, Alex Kingi on Instagram. She looked wonderful and captioned the pictures, “Scenes from the Port Townsend Film Festival.”
She wore a pair of blue jeans, a shirt, and a nude scarf. To accessorize her look, she wore a handbag and face cap as she posed with her son, who wore a checkered shirt.
Fans were incredibly happy to catch a look at their favorite actress. One fan commented that she was “a natural beauty.” While another added, “You still look amazing. You never age.” Another fan agreed, saying, “You still look absolutely stunning. And you haven’t aged at all,”
Everyone seems to be saying the same thing; she looks wonderful, even at 74 years old. She is an avid enthusiast of eating well, meditation, and wellness. She had a retreat where she helped people with living more wholesome lives. She said, “People helped me avoid surgery by teaching me how meditation, prayer, and diet can affect the body,”
In 1994 she released a recipe book titled High Road to Health in collaboration with Ariane Spade. The recipe featured healthy recipes for those who had recently turned vegetarian. She has authored other wellness books as well including The Acupressure Facelift.
