Crowd stones gunman to death after fatal shooting in Fort Worth neighborhood

Two people are dead and several are injured after an argument at a “small gathering” in Fort Worth, Texas escalated.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. Monday.

A number of people were attending a “small gathering” in someone’s backyard in the 5600 block of Shiloh Drive of the Como neighborhood when one of the guests became upset and left.

They returned with a gun and another person. The man, who has yet to be identified got into an argument with several other people and then opened fire.

The victim was wounded.

Police say at this point the crowd began to chase the gunman.

As the gunman fired multiple shots into the crowd, the people chasing him began throwing landscaping bricks at him.

According to police, two people were shot. One of the victims died at the scene.

The gunman was then “struck multiple times with at least one landscaping brick.” He also died at the scene.

Three other people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s believed everyone involved knew each other.

An investigation is ongoing.
