Elin Nordegren breaks silence on ex-husband Tiger Woods amid shocking DUI arrest

Tiger Woods’ shocking DUI arrest on Friday last week has left his family worried. Now, a source says the golf legend’s ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, is “concerned” about his well-being.

Last week, Tiger Woods returned to competitive golf for the first time since June 2024, playing in the TGL finals. Just days later, on Friday, the 50-year-old golf legend was arrested after being involved in a car crash.

At approximately 2 p.m. local time, Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, after his vehicle collided with a trailer. Reports from TMZ indicated that he appeared to be “OK” following the incident.

Police later confirmed that the 50-year-old tested negative on a breathalyzer. However, officers noted signs of possible impairment.

Woods was subsequently arrested after refusing to take a urinalysis test, resulting in charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to comply with a lawful test. He was released later that same day.

Tiger Woods was set to play in the iconic Masters golf tournament this upcoming weekend. However, whether he will be on the first tee once it begins is not known.

After the crash, reports suggest that Tiger’s family is worried about his well-being. That includes his now-girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr.

“She’s both disappointed and a little bit pissed, if I’m being honest,” an insider told The Daily Mail. “It’s a definite red flag, and she told him that he’s going to get this sorted out and that she’s going to require that.”

The source continued, “He has to get things under control, or she’s not going to stick around,” adding that 48-year-old Vanessa Trump is a “concerned girlfriend expressing boundaries and saying that he’s got to get his s–t together, like right now.”

It appears that it’s not only his close family and now-girlfriend who are worried about Tiger. That also includes his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, the mother of his two children.

The couple was married for six years before divorcing in 2010. They share two children, 18-year-old daughter Sam and 17-year-old son Charlie.

This isn’t the first time Tiger Woods has been involved in a car crash. Besides the 2009 crash, when Tiger drove into a fire hydrant, a tree, and hedges outside his home, which was the beginning of his serial infidelity revelation, five years ago, he sustained serious injuries in a Los Angeles accident.

That time, he required surgery, and it was unclear at the time if he even would have been able to walk again. He was lucky then, as he was on Friday.

A source close to Elin Nordegren now says she is “concerned” about Tiger Woods’ well-being. They were last seen a month ago together, smiling, as their son, Charlie, receied is holf state championship title ring at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

“The kids are close with Tiger, so of course Elin cares too,” the source told People Magazine. “She wants him to be well. Both kids are great and love spending time with their dad. Elin’s concerned that he had another car crash and got arrested.

“His recovery from the crash [in 2021] in California was brutal,” the source continued. “[Elin] just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids.”
