Halle Berry reveals the one thing she refuses to do in the bedroom

Halle Berry has never been known for being shy or modest.

Now, she’s opening up about a clear boundary in her love life and the one thing she refuses to do in the bedroom.

”I don’t do that anymore…”

Award-winning actor Halle Berry is getting candid about love, intimacy, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. Now 59 and engaged to musician Van Hunt, whom she’s been with since 2020, the star recently shared one bedroom boundary that’s completely non-negotiable: she refuses to fake orgasms.

Speaking on the Sex With Emily podcast, Berry explained, ”I don’t do that anymore. We had to get there so that he felt good about bringing us to orgasm. We had to say that we did it so that he would feel good about himself. Because what is that doing? That’s putting his needs before our own. I’m like, ‘No, I come first like you come first to you.’”

She emphasized that intimacy should be equally satisfying for both partners, adding,

”We both deserve to have this be a mutually enjoyable experience, so we both can roll over and go to sleep because we feel good — not one snoring and the other one looking at the ceiling, going, ‘What the hell?’”

”First time I was madly in love before I had sex”

But Berry says her relationship with Hunt goes far beyond physical chemistry.

Berry and Hunt first crossed paths in 2020, forming a connection online while stuck in quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their relationship became public that September when Berry shared a photo wearing his tour merchandise. Since then, she hasn’t been shy about expressing her feelings, even calling him the “love of [her] life.”

In a 2024 interview with Marie Claire, she revealed, ”It was the first time I was madly in love before I had sex. That has never happened to me, ever. Talk about one of those life-changing, beautiful experiences. It was magical, just magical.”

After previous marriages to David Justice, Eric Benét, and Olivier Martinez, Berry believes her bond with Hunt stands apart.

She shared on the Today show, ”Out of the people I’ve been married to, this is the person I should have married.”

Reflecting on her past, she added, ”Having gone through three divorces, I finally knew what wasn’t working and I realized I was always saying to the universe what I didn’t want. So, guess what I did? I manifested what I didn’t want.”

Three divorces

Berry said Hunt entered her life at just the right time. ”If it didn’t come, I would have been good just to raise my kids,” she explained. ”After three divorces, you kind of go, ‘I’m just going to be alone,’ and I was ready to do that. I was done. I knew that if the right person didn’t show up for me, I’d be better off going at it alone.”

”When you’re loved and supported as a woman, everything changes,” Berry told Extra in November 2021. ”The day looks brighter, everything looks better. Your opportunity seems limitless.”

The actor is mom to daughter Nahla, whom she shares with Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo-Robert with Martinez. Now happily engaged, sources say Berry took some time to warm up to the idea of marriage again, but ultimately couldn’t deny her feelings. One insider noted that she’s deeply in love, feels incredibly fortunate, and is excited for what’s ahead.

The couple are reportedly planning a small, meaningful wedding surrounded by close friends and family, a fitting next chapter for a love story Berry says arrived exactly when she needed it most.
