Hillary Clinton’s savage statement after secret war group chat leak

The leaked Signal group scandal has sent shockwaves through Donald Trump’s inner circle, sparking intense backlash and raising serious security concerns.

As details emerge, the former president and his team are facing tough questions about how classified information ended up in the wrong hands — before a major military operation even took place.

Now Trump’s former opposition has made her feelings clear about what happened.

Facing increasing scrutiny

The U.S. recently launched airstrikes on Houthi rebels in Yemen, a move that President Donald Trump praised as “decisive and powerful.” However, the operation, which left at least 53 dead, has sparked controversy both within the Republican Party and beyond. The leak of a Signal group chat, in which the details of the attack were discussed before it happened, has made waves.

Jeffrey Goldberg from The Atlantic revealed he was accidentally added to the chat and learned about the airstrikes two hours prior.

When the journalist revealed the whole story on Monday, it hit like a bomb.

Now, both Democrats and Republicans are up in arms over this ”shocking” security breach. While Elon Musk appears unfazed, the Trump administration is facing increasing scrutiny, with many calling for the resignation of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who was allegedly part of the chat.

Upon learning about the mistake, Pete Hegseth quickly slammed Goldberg’s reporting, accusing him of being a ”highly discredited so-called journalist” and criticizing The Atlantic for its coverage of various Trump-related controversies.

“I don’t know anything about it. You’re telling me about it for the first time,” Trump said when asked, adding that The Atlantic was “not much of a magazine”.

Enter Hillary Clinton, who wasted no time voicing her thoughts on the matter. As someone who has clashed with Trump many times before, Clinton took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a simple yet biting response: ”👀 You have got to be kidding me.”

There is one comment on the post (“Lock him right up,”) but otherwise, Hillar yha appears to have disabled the ability to comment.

This jab from Clinton comes after years of criticism from Trump, who frequently targeted her over her private email server use during her time as Secretary of State, even calling for her to be jailed over it. And that is something many of Trump’s supporters have, of course, pointed out.

”It’s definitely a concern”

It’s not just Democrats who are calling out the administration. Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon also weighed in on the situation, saying, ”Putting out classified information like that endangers our forces, and I can’t believe they were knowingly putting that kind of classified information on unclassified systems, it’s just wrong.”

Senate Armed Services Committee chairman Roger Wicker, a Republican from Mississippi, stated that his panel would be looking into the issue.

”It’s definitely a concern,” he said. ”It appears that mistakes were made.”

Senator John Cornyn from Texas added, ”Sounds like a huge screwup. I mean, is there any other way to describe it? I don’t think you should use Signal for classified information.”

On the other side of the aisle, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley dismissed the situation, telling Fox News: ”This is what the leftist media is reduced to… now we’re griping about who’s on a text message and who’s not. I mean, come on.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson also suggested that no disciplinary action would be taken, stating, ”Clearly, I think the administration has acknowledged it was a mistake and they’ll tighten up and make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

Meanwhile, CNN has compiled a series of clips from Trump officials who were in the chat, showing them criticizing Clinton’s email server back in the day.

With Clinton firing shots, it’s only a matter of time before Trump responds, and you can bet it will be dramatic. What do you think the consequences of this whole mess will be? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
