Josef Mourtada was at a party in Malmö, Sweden with his friends. He was introduced to a new guy, who he thought seemed pretty nice. But after a while, Josef became suspicious of the guy’s strange behavior and sarcastic comments about women. Later when Josef got up to go to the bathroom, he heard some noises coming from a nearby room. He put his ear to the door and heard something terrible. “I heard a girl saying, ‘Stop, I don’t want to.’ It sounded like she was crying,” Josef told a Swedish newspaper. Josef pulled the door open and saw the guy trying to rape the shocked girl. Josef rescued the girl and told the guy to leave the room immediately. Later, Josef wrote about the event on Facebook and now the Swedish media has taken notice. “If a guy who seemed so nice can become such a creep, I understand why women always have to be afraid. Now, I understand why you have to be on your guard all the time,” he said to the newspaper. Read Josef’s Facebook post below.
“Last night, I experienced something truly awful. But it also made me realize the frustration women have with men.
We all had a good time, so we went to a friend’s house after the party, talking to each other and having fun.
While I was on my way to the bathroom, I heard some strange sounds from another room, so I put my ear up against the door. I heard a girl say, ‘Stop, I don’t want to,’ so I opened the door. I saw a guy trying to have sex with a girl while she was objecting to his advances and crying.
I’ve never seen/experienced anything like this before so I was totally shocked. I asked the guy to get out and told him I wanted to talk to the girl. And then he said, “Yeah, bro, can you fix it so I can have sex with her?”
I looked at the guy, gave him the dirtiest look I could and said, “Get out of here, man. Get out!”
Then, I talked to the girl. She was so weak and so out of it that she didn’t know exactly what was happening. She was crying and felt bad. I helped put her onto the bed and let her sleep.
I went out and said told everyone what happened, and everyone confronted the guy. And even the his friends said, ‘Starting today, I don’t know this guy,’ so he got kicked out of the group.
What I want to convey is that I hope that women don’t judge us real men because of pieces of shit like this guy. Thank God I was able to stop him before he destroyed this girl’s life.”
