Kate Middleton target of ‘obscene’ sex joke in television series – royal fans are left outraged and refuse to keep watching

The royal family is back to normal after the long coronation celebrations in May. Prince William and Kate Middleton have continued their royal engagements.

Kate Middleton became – as usual – the talk of the town over the coronation weekend for her fantastic outfit.

During the ceremony, she had plenty of work handling their youngest son, Prince Louis, who is still new to the world of official engagements. Everything turned out great, but as the weeks have progressed, Kate was in the spotlight once again. This time because of an ‘obscene’ sex joke, which has left royal fans and experts outraged.

King Charles’s coronation turned out to be a great success, at least if you ask those who are in favor of the monarchy. Nearly 20 million viewers watched the progression to Westminister Abbey, the ceremony inside the historic church, and the procession back to Buckingham Palace.

The big day included many vital events, and the royals had rehearsed at Westminster Abbey several times beforehand. Prince George had a key role as a Page of Honor – but most royal fans were keen on seeing whether the youngest child, Prince Louis, would be in attendance. Ultimately, he was, but it meant plenty of work for William and Kate.

According to PageSix, the Prince and Princess of Wales had a backup plan in case things turned sour. The Palace was prepared to have a nanny present to take Prince Louis away from King Charles’s coronation if he misbehaved. As it was, Louis behaved exceptionally during the ceremony at Westminster, though his mother had a challenging time.

Kate Middleton was worried about Prince Louis’ presence at the coronation

Speaking to the Daily Star, body language expert Adrianne Carter – also known as the “Face Whisperer” – said Kate looked “nervously” at her young son during the event, “willing him to be on his best behavior.”

“[It] is probably her biggest worry during the service,” Carter said.

Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte were all praised for their behavior over the coronation weekend. But, according to body language expert Judi James, Kate employed an exceptional parenting trick to keep them in line.

She told The Sun: “Kate could be seen keeping a very subtle eye on Louis during the ceremony and offering him motivational ‘reward’ touches of affection when he did something right.

“Louis and Charlotte’s signals of total absorption and determination with the archery was exactly how William and Kate throw themselves into anything sporty or competitive during their royal appearances.”

Judi James added: “William and Kate showed they clearly understand the need for all their children to learn to enjoy royal events rather than to dread them by seeing them as a chore, bore, or challenge to get through.”

The rehearsals had left the room for error as nil. The day went smoothly; however, as King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived at the Abbey, a vital part of the royal family was absent.

Television cameras caught the king and queen awkwardly waiting in their carriage for five minutes.

Prince William and Princess Kate eventually made it to the Abbey, though it took some effort to get there.

The future king wore the ceremonial dress uniform of the Welsh guards, while Kate wore an official robe over an Alexander McQueen ivory silk dress. It was decorated with silver bullion embroidered roses, thistles, daffodils, and shamrock motifs, intended to symbolize the different nations of the United Kingdom, CNN reported.

Moreover, the Princess of Wales wore Princess Diana’s pearl and diamond earrings in a touching nod to her late mother-in-law for the big occasion.

As the royal couple prepared to walk into the Abbey, lined up for the procession, television cameras caught William and Kate speaking. He wore the Order of the Garter mantle, while Kate had the striking Royal Victorian Order mantle.

Yet though it was a day of joy, it seemed as though Kate Middleton had concerns for her husband before beginning the long walk to the front of Westminster Abbey.

Professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman studied the footage of William and Kate. Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, the expert claims the princess told William to “just mind the gown.”

The 40-year-old heir to the throne replied: “Don’t worry I got [or caught] it.”

The royal family is back performing their royal duties all over the UK. King Charles and Queen Camilla took a week off after the coronation to gather new energy, while Prince William and Princess Kate continued as usual. The day after the coronation concert, the couple, alongside their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, volunteered and greeted well-wishers, and shortly after, the kids returned to school.

For William and Kate, every week is filled with engagements – and sometimes, it can be stressful to even make it there in time.

Kate Middleton was carrying out an engagement in Bath during Mental Health Awareness week when she suddenly had to rush to the train to make it back to Windsor. First, however, she had to stop on the train platform for a quick chat as some rather shocked children were out enjoying a school trip.

Kate Middleton’s meeting with school children goes viral

A video widely shared on social media shows Kate rushing towards the train, capturing the heartfelt moment when she quickly stopped to greet the children.

“Hello, hello, where are you going?” Kate asked, with the teachers answering Warminster.

Kate gave them thumbs up and replied, “Have a good school trip, what are you learning about?”

The teachers then told her, “Trains and orienteering.”

Kate Middleton gave the children a thumbs up and a big smile before running towards the train to make it before departure. The video was shared widely on social media. And once again, Kate Middleton showed how much of a happy and down-to-earth princess she is.

But while the Princess of Wales has proven herself to be a lovely person to meet for many well-wishers, there are some things she just can’t provide them. On Monday, she showed an excellent example of that.

Kate visited the Chelsea Flower Show in London on Monday, where 100 kids from ten different elementary schools joined in for the inaugural Children’s Picnic.

The princess sat down with the children, but she had to decline as one young child wanted an autograph.

“I can’t write my name, but I can draw,” Kate was overheard saying, as reported by People.

She was asked why, to which the royal replied, “My name’s Catherine. I’m not allowed to write my signature, it’s just one of those rules.”

King Charles, Prince William, and Queen Camilla must obey the same rule. But why is that? According to the Daily Express, the long-standing rule remains because of the risk of the signature being forged.

While the royal family always turns up to engagements in a great mood and with big smiles, there are not always all happy faces behind the scenes. In the last few years, the rift between the royals and Harry and Meghan has left the royals with a dark cloud above them.

Moreover, although they might be royals, they are not resistant to criticism or being made fun of – even though there are times when people are outraged about how they might be portrayed or laughed at.

Last week, Kate became the subject of a television joke that has left royals experts and fans outraged.

In one episode of the Amazon crime series Citadel – starring Priyanka Chopra – a crime boss compares breaking into an office to getting “between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge.”

“The chief of armed forces? You might as well have asked me how to get between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge!” character Mason Kane, portrayed by Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden, said.

Prince William and Princess Kate received the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge from Queen Elizabeth II as they wed in 2011. As the queen passed, they became the Prince and Princess of Wales, and Charles became king. However, despite her ascension to Princess of Wales, she retained the title of Duchess of Cambridge.

Royal expert brands sex joke as “surreal and “shocking”

The line in Citadel about the Duchess of Cambridge has left royal fans, and experts upset. As reported by Daily Star, one Twitter user labeled the quote “gratuitous and vile,” while another raged, “Who wrote the script and who approved it?!”

The Sun also reported how viewers slammed the show.

“We were all set to watch Citadel when we found out you slammed Kate! We won’t be watching anything else your in! That was low class!!!!!” one person wrote.

A second said: “Citadel, since your Meghan loving star thinks its funny to make obscene jokes about Kate, I stopped watching Citadel after the 2nd episode. A little dignity from your stars isn’t too much to ask.”

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams condemned the decision to include the attack on Kate Middleton as “shocking.”

“It is absolutely surreal that anybody would stoop to obscene comments. It’s quite extraordinary. I think it’s shocking,” Fitzwilliams told The Sun.

“Amazon must explain what obscenities to real people, to members of the royal family, are doing in their film.”

It is not the first time this year that the royals have been subjected to mockery.

During a televised chat on TalkTV, royal expert Robert Jobson – author of the 2002 book Diana: Closely Guarded Secret – spoke about Archie and the gathering of royals at the balcony for the coronation.

Horrible joke about Prince Archie

Jobson suggested that the young prince could be dangled over the Buckingham Palace balcony like Michael Jackson dangled his son over a balcony two decades ago.

In early 2023, reports and discussions about whether Archie and Lilibet – the two children of Harry and Meghan – would attend the coronation with their parents. The coronation date, May 6, was also Archie’s birthday.

Robert Jobson added that Charles would blow out Archie’s birthday candle – and continued by holding up his hands, imitating “that Michael Jackson thing where they hold him over….”

The Michael Jackson incident happened on the fifth floor of the Berlin Hotel Adlon in 2002. Fans were raging about it – and The King of Pop later had to apologize.

“I got caught up in the excitement of the moment. I would never intentionally endanger the lives of my children,” Jackson said at the time.

But Robert Jobson’s joke didn’t spike any laughs. Instead, royal fans took to social media to show their disgust at the joke.

“Hearing King Charles’ biographer boldly state that Prince Archie should be held over the Buckingham Palace balcony during the coronation is vile…” one person wrote, as reported by Irish Mirror.

Freelance writer R.S. Locke wrote: “Robert Jobson thinks it would be funny to dangle Archie over the balcony. Eammon Holmes wants Harry & Meghan thrown off it. Jeremy Kyle wants Meghan thrown down a well.”

“Distasteful manner”

Another person disgusted by the joke was musician Stella Parton, who is Dolly Parton’s sister. She wrote that it was “tasteless,” and admitted she “couldn’t believe it” when she heard what Robson had said.

“Was anyone else shocked by the British media making such a tasteless joke about Harry and Meghan’s son Archie being put over the balcony at the Coronation?” Parton wrote on Twitter. “These are evil people! I couldn’t believe it when I heard it!”

“Trying to recall a time when reporters have “joked” about Princes George & Louis & Princess Charlotte in this distasteful manner,” a third person wrote.
