Kate Middleton‘s team has been forced to issue a statement regarding the Princess of Wales after rumors of her condition and whereabouts have begun to take over the internet.

In a statement to Page Six, Middleton’s team firmly put an end to all jokes about the Princess of Wales.

“Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” her rep said. “That guidance stands.”

They further reiterated that Middleton was “doing well.”

In mid-January Kensington Palace revealed a rare personal update regarding Middleton. The Princess of Wales was set to undergo abdominal surgery that would require at least a two-week hospital stay, and she would not return to royal duties until Easter.

Following the announcement of her surgery, the palace said Kate “hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private. Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’s progress when there is significant new information to share.”

Unfortunately, the palace has been forced to address the conspiracy theories about Middleton’s conditions as they continue to swirl online.

It’s so sad to see all the memes and jokes about Kate Middleton. Why can’t people let her recover in peace?
