Newborn stolen from Louisiana hospital, police suspect child’s father

Louisiana State Police are looking for a man they suspect of taking a newborn from a hospital just hours after he was born.

The man, Travis Hargrove, 35, is reportedly the baby boy’s father.

At 7:04 a.m. on October 22, Travis Hargrove, Jr. was born at a hospital in Monroe, Louisiana.

Around 11:20 p.m. that night, Hargrove allegedly slipped the newborn, who has a medical condition that requires treatment, into a black backpack and walked out of the hospital.

Police are now asking for the public’s help.

Travis Hargrove, Jr. is a dark skin male with no hair. He is 19 ¾ inches long, and weighs eight pounds and eight ounces. He has a medical condition that will require treatment, so it is extremely important that he is found.
