“Real-life Barbie” Dalia Naeem
Dalia Naeem, a woman from Baghdad, Iraq, has reportedly spent a fortune transforming her appearance in an attempt to look like a real-life Barbie doll. Nicknamed the “Iraqi Barbie,” she is said to have undergone at least 43 cosmetic procedures in pursuit of the iconic doll’s look.
Naeem gave her followers a glimpse of her transformation in 2023, sharing a video of herself after one of her cosmetic treatments.
At the same time, she posted comparison photos showing how her features had changed over time, with her plumped-up lips among the most noticeable differences.
Despite her determination to continue changing her look, Naeem has faced plenty of criticism online. Some Instagram users have compared her appearance to a “zombie,” while others have gone as far as calling her a “Devil Barbie.”
Of course, reactions have been mixed. While some have criticized her appearance, others have expressed support for her choices, with many different opinions emerging over her doll-like look.
No matter who we are or what we consider beautiful, beauty is subjective and goes far beyond what we see on the outside.
