Real reason ICE is being sent to U.S. airports as Donald Trump sends chilling 6-word threat

Donald Trump has revealed why ICE agents are now being sent to airports across the United States, and his six-word warning is raising eyebrows.

Air travelers around the U.S. are currently facing major disruptions. Long lines, delays, and growing frustration at security checkpoints are a huge problem at the moment.

The situation has worsened during the ongoing partial government shutdown. Many Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees have been left without pay, and as a result, some workers have failed to report for duty, creating chaotic scenes at several major airports. To help manage the growing pressure, additional personnel have been sent to assist.

“We have been informed that federal personnel from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ICE-ERO) will be deployed to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport beginning tomorrow morning,” local officials confirmed.

Trump addresses the situation

President Donald Trump addressed the situation during an interview with NewsNation on Sunday, March 22. He said Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will remain at airports “for as long as it takes.”

White House border czar Tom Homan clarified that ICE agents will not replace TSA officers, according to VT. Instead, they will continue performing their regular immigration enforcement duties within airport environments.

The Department of Homeland Security has been shut down since mid-February, and Democrats rejected funding proposals that did not include changes to immigration enforcement policies.

“The Democrats want to make a deal”

Trump has been pushing lawmakers to approve the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE America) Act — legislation that would require proof of citizenship to register to vote and would restrict mail-in voting. According to the president, the recent airport chaos has shifted the political dynamic.

“Now that I did this, the Democrats want to make a deal,” he said, per The Hill. “And I don’t think any deal should be made on this until they approve SAVE America.”

In a separate post on Truth Social, Trump also delivered a strongly worded message about the deployment of ICE agents, writing: “On Monday, ICE will be going to airports to help our wonderful TSA Agents who have stayed on the job despite the fact that the Radical Left Democrats, who are only focused on protecting hard line criminals who have entered our Country illegally, are endangering the USA by holding back the money that was long ago agreed to with signed and sealed contracts, and all.”
