Rod Stewart had a heartwarming experience over the weekend, as he got to spend some time with his gorgeous baby grandsons while on stage in Spain!
During a performance in Spain on Saturday, the 78-year-old singer took a break to bring his infant grandsons, Louie and Otis, on stage for the very first time.
The two youngest grandchildren of the ‘Maggie May‘ performer were joined by their mothers, Ruby Stewart and Nicole Artukovich, who is engaged to Rod’s son Liam Stewart, 28.
Ruby, 35, and her fiancé, Jake Kalic, welcomed their son Otis on May 9, while Liam, 28, and fiancée Nicole Artukovich had their son Louie three days later on May 12. These boys are the first children for both couples.
Ruby later shared a precious photo on her Instagram Story, showing Otis wearing noise-canceling headphones while covering his face. She humorously captioned the picture: “Grandad’s production was a little too bright and loud for my liking.”
On his own Instagram Story the following day, the rocker posted another heartwarming picture. Stewart can be seen sitting with his two youngest grandsons, Louie and Otis, lovingly cradling them in each arm as they perch on his legs.
“Louie on the right wing — Otis on the left wing — Grandad down the middle,” Stewart adorably captioned the post, showcasing the sweet bonding session with his grandsons.
Not too long ago, Stewart’s daughter Kimberly a rare photo of his large family – he is the father of eight children by five mothers, and is now a grandfather of three, after welcoming Otis and Louie back in May.
Stewart’s daughter Kimberly, 43, shared the photo taken while the family was all together in Spain. In addition to Kimberly, Stewart is seen with his wife Penny Lancaster and most of his kids: Sean, 42, Ruby, 36, Renee, 31, Liam, 28, Alastair, 17, and Aiden, 12.
Also spotted are Stewart’s newborn grandsons: Liam’s son Louis and Ruby’s son Otis.
Seven of Rod’s eight children are present: the only one not seen is Sarah Streeter, 59, the singer’s first child whom he put up for adoption. The two have reconciled after being estranged for many years, but she wasn’t present for this family get together.
Also missing from the photo is his granddaughter Delilah, born in 2011 to Kimberly and actor Benicio Del Toro.
But besides those two absences, the pic is a rare glimpse at Stewart’s large family… And what a lovely family it is!
