Zohran Mamdani’s win in the New York City mayoral election has many divided. MAGA supporters have claimed him to be a communist, and Donald Trump has threatened to cut all federal funding to the “Big Apple” if Mamdani won. Now, former NYC mayor and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani has given Zohran some advice—and it’s not pretty.
Zohran Mamdani is preparing to take over as Mayor of New York City. He will take charge after midnight on Jan. 1, 2026, as required by city law. Shortly after, a swearing-in ceremony will follow.
He received 50,4% of the votes in the election in early November, beating the independent candidate, Andrew Cuomo, for the mayoral post. But while many are happy about him becoming the mayor, MAGA arenät.
Shortly before the November 4 election, Donald Trump, who endorsed Cuomo, threatened that he would cut funding if Mamdani, whom he labeled a “communist,” won.
“Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, but Mamdani is not!” Trump wrote on his social media platform, adding that a vote for Sliwa would only help Mamdani.
“If Communist Candidate Zohran Mamdani wins the Election for Mayor of New York City, it is highly unlikely that I will be contributing Federal Funds, other than the very minimum as required, to my beloved first home.”
Rudi Giuliani sends brutal advice to Zohran Mamdani
“Because of the fact that, as a Communist, this once great City has ZERO chance of success, or even survival!” he continued. “It can only get worse with a Communist at the helm, and I don’t want to send, as President, good money after bad. It is my obligation to run the Nation, and it is my strong conviction that New York City will be a Complete and Total Economic and Social Disaster should Mamdani win.”
Mamdani answered Trump after winning the election. However, as he prepares to take over, other MAGA-connected figures are continuing to bash the 34-year-old.
Now, former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was pardoned by Trump on Monday for his involvement in the bid to overturn the 2020 presidential election, has shared some brutal advice to Zohran Mamdani. Speaking with the NY Post, Giuliani told the soon-to-be-mayor that he should never take office.
“My advice to him is to step down and do something else,” Giuliani said, claiming Mamdani was a “supporter of Muslim extremism” after he had been seen with Imam Suraj Wahhaj.
“The imam he was with is a strong supporter of terrorism,” Giuliani added. “I’m not worried that he’s a Muslim. I’m worried that he supports Muslim extremism.”
Giuliani claims Zohran Mamdani is a “serious security threat”
Rudy Giuliani was the Mayor of New York City during and after 9/11 and at the time was branded “America’s mayor.” He continued to brand Mamdani as a “security threat.”
“You think the federal government will give this guy a security clearance?” Rudy Giuliani claimed to the NY Post. “Zohran Mamdani is a serious security threat to the United States of America. He’s a communist and a sympathizer for Muslim terrorism.”
