See The Earth From Lights Years Away. You Don’t Have To Be A Geek To Find This Video Amazing!

Let me be the first to say that I was never particularly interested in the science behind our planet and even less our galaxy and solar system. I like to think of myself more as a ‘social science’ kind of gal. But when I came across this video, I realized quite suddenly how fascinating it all really is. The video begins from a far – and I mean FAR- away point in space and time… literally 10 million light years away from the Milky Way (for anyone confused, or can’t remember grade 4 science class anymore, that’s the galaxy which contains our Solar System, which contains our Earth) :). The video then starts to gradually zoom in… and in… and in… revealing stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Eventually we’re 10 light years away from Earth. And finally, we zoom in on Earth… But it doesn’t end there. I don’t want to spoil the full experience, so I’ll stop here– and highly recommend you just take a look for yourself. You won’t regret it. Enjoy!

Feel free to pass on this video to all the geeks — and non-geeks– that you know!

This is so trippy. From galaxies all the way down to quarks.
