A woman is facing allegations after authorities say she engaged in a shocking act aboard an American Airlines flight shortly after takeoff.
Katy Inzer, 46, allegedly removed her pants and began masturbating during a September 11 flight from Baltimore to Miami, according to an incident report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
The alleged incident reportedly happened shortly after the evening flight departed Baltimore.
According to the report, another passenger alerted a flight attendant after witnessing what was happening. The passenger said Inzer had “remove(d) her pants and began to actively masturbate while making inappropriate sounds.”
The flight attendant reportedly intervened, at which point Inzer stopped and put her pants back on.
But the incident did not appear to continue for the remainder of the flight. Instead, Inzer allegedly “fell asleep for the remainder of the flight,” according to the report.
When the plane eventually arrived in Florida, law enforcement officers noted that she had “a strong odor of alcohol [sic] beverage and bloodshot eyes.”
Inzer reportedly told authorities that she had consumed “several drinks” before getting on the plane, and that she did not remember the alleged incident, saying she “fell asleep.”
The case was initially reported by The Smoking Gun, which also said it had been referred to the FBI because authorities were unsure which agency had jurisdiction over the alleged conduct.
