Celebrities and fans worldwide have paid tribute to Dolly Parton after her passing. Now, the Royal Family has done the same, and their emotional tribute leaves fans in tears.
Fans, friends and colleagues are all paying tribute to Dolly Parton after the country star passed away.
Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, broke the news that Dolly had died at the age of 80. A statement from her team later confirmed she died Tuesday in Nashville after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
“Our beloved Dolly Parton spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched. Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand,” the statement read.
Following the news of her passing, countless celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to the beloved artist and share their memories.
One of many who paid tribute to her was Jane Fonda, who starred together with Dolly in the film 9 to 5,.

On Instagram, she wrote, “I am devastated. I just learned that Dolly has moved on. I know that millions are mourning, and I want to say this – more than anyone I have ever known, Dolly will always be with us because she was so present, so powerful, so generous and playful that she is woven into all our lives and hearts forever. We have our memories of her, her songs, Dollywood, 9to5, the millions of books she got into the hands of children, all the iconic images that bring her to us. And they are all blessings.”
Donald Trump called Dolly’s death “a true loss for millions of people,” while former President Barack Obama highlighted her humble roots, her impact on music, and her philanthropic work.
“Born in a one-room cabin, she earned 11 Grammys and an Emmy, built a business empire, helped millions of kids learn to read, and — as if that wasn’t enough — helped accelerate the research that led to the Moderna COVID vaccine,” Obama wrote. “What a life. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolly’s family and her many, many fans.”
It wasn’t just in the U.S Dolly Parton was praised. In fact, the tributes reached all the way into the royal corridors where King Charles and Queen Camilla wanted to share their love for Dolly.

During Wednesday’s Changing of the Guard, the Band of the Coldstream Guards performed Dolly’s beloved hit “9 to 5” outside Buckingham Palace.

It was a touching moment in honor of a woman who meant so much to millions around the world, and fans watching the emotional tribute were quick to share their reactions. The clip, posted on social media, has gathered more than 13 million views.
“Thank you! That just brought tears,” one person wrote.
Another added that the performance had made their “heart well up.”
“Dolly is looking down and loving this,” a third wrote, while a fourth added, “Oh the trumpets, golly Dolly woulda loved this.”

For many, the tribute was especially meaningful because Dolly had a special connection to children and reading through her Imagination Library.
Queen Camilla’s charity, The Queen’s Reading Room, also remembered the legendary singer, praising her lifelong commitment to putting books into children’s hands.
“Today we unwavering advocate for the joy and remember and celebrate the -importance of reading the icon, Dolly Parton,” it read.
“Dolly once said, ‘You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children’ … but she gave it a pretty good go, donating more than 300 million books over 30+ years through her Imagination Library.”
Through her Imagination Library, Dolly helped provide more than 300 million books to children over more than three decades. It’s safe to say her legacy clearly reaches far beyond music.
