Prince Louis celebrated his 8th birthday on Thursday. As the tradition goes, the Royal Family released a new picture of him. However, fans were left disappointed over this one detail.
Prince Louis turned 8 on April 23. The youngest son of Prince William and Kate MIddleton has become adored all across the country and world, not least because of his antics during royal outings when he was younger.
Meanwhile, Louis has been branded the “spare” of the next generation of royals amid Prince Harry’s book with the same name, and some are worried about his future.
The phrase “spare to the heir” has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years, not least because of Harry. Three years after leaving royal life, in January 2023, he released his book Spare, in which he outlined for the whole world his belief that he would never be considered as important as his big brother, Prince William, who is set to ascend the throne after King Charles.
However, it didn’t stop there. Harry also wrote about Prince Louis and his older sister, Princess Charlotte, revealing that he was deeply concerned about their futures. The Duke wrote plainly that he fears they could end up like him, a “spare.”
On the other hand, Prince William and Kate Middleton are aware of the issues that could arise, and are giving their children as normal a childhood as possible.
“I imagine they will encourage Louis to explore life outside the royal fold… it could be the military, but it could also be working in the charity world or whatever he finds appealing after his education is finished. Prince Louis’ new birthday photo leaves royal fans upset over one detail
Prince Louis and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are growing up fast. Therefore, many royals expressed their disappointment when the newly released picture of Prince Louis, commemorating his 8th birthday, was revealed.
As many parents can acknowledge, suddenly, your children are all grown up, with the baby years going by, almost too fast.
Per ITV, the new Louis photo was taken during a family holiday in Cornwall earlier this year. The young prince is seen standing by the sea, leaning on the railing with his arms folded, wearing a navy blue jumper.
“Happy birthday louis! 8 already? That pic is adorable, kid’s growing up fast!” one user wrote.
Another exclaimed, “Happy birthday to Louis! He looks so mature!”
“Just love Louis. How fast time flies. I can’t believe he is 8 yr old today,” a third person added: “What a lovely photo, looking so grown up!”
“He’s growing so fast!” a fourth said. A fifth simply left a sad emoji face and captioned it, “He isn’t a baby anymore.”
