According to several studies, chocolate can protect against cardiovascular diseases. A study at San Diego State University showed that people who eat 50 gram of dark chocolate every day for two weeks lowered their blood sugar and had lower levels of bad cholesterol, in comparison to another group of people who didn’t eat dark chocolate. Another study, from Australia, involving 2000 people shows that a daily dose of dark chocolate can prevent heart attack’s.
2. Chocolate can protect your skin towards dangerous sunlight and improve your skin.
A German study on women showed that chocolate can work as a light sun protection and decrease the effects of UV light with up to 20 percent. It also improves your skin.

3. Chocolate can be calming.
Eating chocolate and feeling calm. You’ve probably felt that connection. And now there is scientific evidence for that! According to a study from The Journal of Psychopharmacology, people who eat chocolate are calmer that people who don’t.

According to studies at two institutes in Sweden milk chocolate and white chocolate, increase the content of blood sugar and the level of insulin. But dark chocolate have a very small effect on the level of insulin. That’s why dark chocolate is especially good for people who are overweight and for those who have diabetes.

Scientists at Yale University have discovered that theobromine, the bitter substance in chocolate, maybe is what keeping the blood pressure in order. A study showed that people who eat chocolate have a larger tendency having an even level of blood pressure.

Dark chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants and several types of minerals and vitamins. Such as magnesium, natrium, zinc and calcium.
7. Chocolate mousse = elegant.
There are desserts and then there are desserts. But it’s probably no dessert that is as elegant as a chocolate mousse. A chocolate dessert can vamp up everyday life and make it funnier and more luxurious. It doesn’t have to be that complicated. You can easily make it yourself, and it’s not only yummy, it will also make you feel elegant!

According to a Swedish study at Karolinska Institutet, chocolate seems to decrease the risk of getting a stroke. 12. Lower BMI.
Chocolate consumers often have lower BMI than those who say no to the divine candy, an American study where 1000 participated showed. Their food habits were charted and it showed that those who used to eat chocolate had a lower BMI. But the study couldn’t determine that all low BMI results had something to do with the chocolate eating.
