How To Use Peppermint To Get Rid Of Mice In Your House.

Mice hate the smell of peppermint. The plant gets them to turn tail and run in the other direction. And I think that’s about as cool as a mint face wash—beacuse I just love peppermint!

Shoshanna, the expert in the video, recommends three ways of using peppermint to get rid of mice:

1. Ward off mice with peppermint plants

The easiest way to prevent a home invasion is to place peppermint plants outside your house. Form a wall all the way around your house and you’ll be well-protected from mice and have tons of peppermint to cook with, too!

2. Send mice away with peppermint socks

This is a great quick solution. Fill socks with dried peppermint and put them wherever you suspect mice or other pests might be entering your house.

3. Spray mice away with a peppermint mister

Put dried mint leaves into noiling water, as if you were making tea. When the liquid becomes a mint concentrate, let it cool. Then pour it into a spray bottle and use it to clean your cabinets or closets wherever you’ve found any traces of rodents.

If you need a little extra power, you can also buy concentrated peppermint in the form of peppermint oil. Dab cotton balls in peppermint oil and place them wherever you think mice might want to get in your house.

In addition to serving as effective as mouse repellent, peppermint also wards off aphids, beetles, spiders, mosquitoes, and bees. Not bad, right?
