It used to happen to me all the time. But did you know that you can relieve headache pain with a simple ice cube?
It sounds almost like magic — but an ice cube can actually make you feel calm and relaxed!
Chinese medicine is based on the belief that energy flows through our bodies along pathways called meridians. By using acupuncture, blocked energy can be freed and order restored to our bodies.

It’s as easy as placing an ice cube on your neck for 20 minutes.
The specific point on your neck (see the pictures) is called the Feng Fu point in Chinese medicine and it’s a place that releases endorphins in the blood when something cold comes into contact with it, writes David Wolfe.
According to Life Advancer, it takes only 40 seconds before your neck won’t feel cold and will actually emit heat.
Place the ice cube in the “pit” of your neck. You can also use a bandage or a scarf to hold it there.
But the easiest way is to lie on your stomach and let the ice cube sit there and do its magic.
Many people claim to sleep much better after using this technique for 20 minutes a day in the morning and evening.
So the next time you feel a headache coming on, try this and see if it works for you!
Many home remedies and health tips are of course not scientifically proven, but at the same time, alternative treatments seem to work for a lot of people.
The ice cube trick might not work for everybody, but there’s no harm in trying, right?
