Luke Combs reveals the one thing he and wife Nicole won’t do as parents to 8-month-old son

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but Luke Combs and wife Nicole are happy doing it themselves.

Although Luke admitted it’s Nicole who is “really bearing the brunt of that.”

The country superstar recently shared that he and his wife were raising their 8-month-old son without the help of a nanny – a person that many inside and outside of Hollywood employ for help with childrearing.

“We don’t have any help at home [with the baby], so it’s just me and her raising the little man,” he said.

The couple welcomed their first child together on June 19, 2022.

Nicole introduced their newborn son to the world with a sweet photo on social media.

“It’s going to be hard to top this past Father’s Day ? Welcome to the world, Tex Lawrence Combs. You are the best chillest angel boy and I’m so happy I was chosen to be your mom. These are the days ?.”

Luke shared the same photo as his wife, but added a different caption.

“Welp he decided that Fathers Day would be a good time to show up. I couldn’t agree more. Me and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy,” he wrote. “Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good. Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world.”

Around the time of Tex’s birth, Luke announced he would be taking a break to spend more time with his family.

“I’m assuming I’ll end up doing a lot of that, man. I would think so,” the singer told the Tennessean about the possibility of him changing diapers. “I just figure, you know, she had to kind of grow him for nine months, so I figure I can at least do something at this point. It’s like, you don’t really do anything for nine months. If you didn’t do anything after that, [you’re] kind of like a deadbeat at that point.”

Eight months later and Luke is ready to get back to work. He has a new album, Growin’ Old, set to be released on March 24.

“There are probably two songs that reflect Tex coming along and my wife really being heavily pregnant.”

He also added how the couple’s newest addition has made them appreciate their parents more.

“You just don’t even realize how much work it is. I am only eight months in, and I can’t even… I mean, it’s a whole newfound respect for what they did for you and the amount of sacrifices they made and the work that they did and the money they didn’t spend on themselves to make sure that you got what you needed, and yeah, it’s crazy.”

I think having a nanny can be extremely helpful, but it’s a breath of fresh air to hear a celebrity say they are raising their child on their own.
