She made a career out of starring in successful rom-coms, but Diana Keaton hasn’t been half so lucky in real-life love.
That’s at least according to the actress herself, who confirmed that she hasn’t been on a date for a whopping 35 years!
Now 77, Keaton, who’s won any number of accolades in the entertainment industry, including an Academy Award and two Golden Globes, said she wasn’t planning on dating anyone in the near future either.

One would think that Diane Keaton would have no problems whatsoever where romance is concerned. After all, the Los Angeles-born star has stolen hearts for over five decades thanks to her appearances on-screen.
Most often, the 77-year-old has excelled in roles that focused on her being involved in some sort of love affair. Her work in films such as Annie Hall (1977), Father of the Bride (1991), and Something’s Gotta Give (2003) helped to endear her to multiple generations.
Yet it would appear that where her own love life is concerned, Keaton has struggled for the better part of almost four decades.
Back in 2019, the Maybe I Do actress was asked in an interview with InStyle Magazine if men typically ask her out.
Keaton laughed, responding: “Never. All right? Let’s just get that straight. That one’s important.”
She added: “I haven’t been on a date in, I would say, 35 years. No dates.”
Keaton said that while she had “a lot of male friends”, there were “no dates” planned for the future.
Though she’s never been married, Keaton was involved in several high-profile romances when she was younger.
A few years ago, the actress opened up to PEOPLE on the fact that she “had a crush” on Al Pacino while the pair were working together on The Godfather in 1971.
“I was mad for him. Charming, hilarious, a nonstop talker,” said Keaton at the time.
She also touched upon her relationship with Warren Beauty, describing him as “A brilliant character. So complex and charming. He should have made more movies.”
Keaton also spoke candidly on her romance with Woody Allen. The pair became first involved in the early 1970s, and retain a close friendship today.
“He is so hilarious and I just adored him, I really did,” she said.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s crazy more men aren’t knocking on Diane Keaton’s door! She’s such an incredible woman.
