People everywhere are sending their love and condolences to Sandra Bullock, who lost her longtime partner Bryan Randall this weekend. Randall died at 57 following a three-year battle with ALS.
Now, several friends and Hollywood co-stars are sharing sweet tributes to Bryan Randall.
Bullock and Randall had been in a longterm relationship since 2015. They met when Randall, a professional photographer, photographed Bullock’s son Louis’ birthday party.
The Oscar-winner, who went through a tumultuous divorce in 2010 after her first husband’s infidelity, called Randall “the love of [her] life” in 2021.
Randall had battled ALS for the past three years, an illness kept secret from the public. The Blind Side actress put her career on hold to care for him this past year.
“Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,” his family shared in a statement after his death.
In their statement they thanked the medical professionals who helped Randall over the years and encouraged people to donate to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital in his memory in lieu of flowers.
In the days following Randall’s passing, many friends and colleagues have shared their condolences and tributes to Sandra Bullock’s late partner.
Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer shared a tribute on Instagram, calling Randall Bullock’s “soulmate.”
“My heart is broken for Sandy and Bryan. Sandy lost her soulmate and the world lost a talented, handsome, all around good guy! My prayers and condolences to their families,” Spencer wrote on Instagram.
“In heaven, there’s a tiny little lady up there who looks an awful lot like me bossing the Angels around. Especially Gabriel. She’ll get him to play any song you want to hear. Give her a kiss from me.”
Gesine Bullock-Prado, the Food Network host and Bullock’s sister, also shared a sweet tribute to Bryan Randall. In her post, she expressed hope that Randall was at peace following his long battle with ALS. She also praised her sister for being an “amazing” caretaker to him these past few years.
“I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon,” Bullock-Prado wrote. “ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home.”
Josh Holloway, the actor known for his TV roles on Lost and Yellowstone, also shared a tribute to Randall. According to Page Six, Holloway and his wife were among the small group of close friends who were aware of Randall’s illness.
“My friend, my brother, my fishing buddy, I love you bro,” Holloway wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of himself and Randall on a fishing trip. “Thank you for the good times. Rest in Peace.”
Many others have shown their support by donating to the ALS Association. According to Fox News Digital, the organization has received an influx of donations after Randall’s death.
“We are grateful for the amazing outpouring of support in honor of Bryan,” the ALS Association said in a statement. “We have seen a significant lift in donations, which will help our urgent work to make ALS a livable disease through local care, national advocacy, and global ALS research. We send our love and condolences to Sandra and Bryan’s family.”
Sandra Bullock, understandably staying private during this difficult time, has not released any public statements since her partner’s death.
