When you’re young, it’s very easy to take things for granted and fail to understand certain privileges that you maybe benefit from.
It’s difficult for most children to comprehend that there are others out there who don’t have access to the same things they do. For some families, providing new toys, clothes, and even groceries can be a challenge.
Simply put, not all little boys and girls experience childhood on equal footing. If we lived in a perfect world, not child would ever have to feel less fortunate than any other.
Sadly, we don’t live in such a world.
This story concerns Angel David, a seven-year-old boy who was about to celebrate his birthday.
Only, ‘celebrate’ might be a strong word in this case, as according to reports, his mother had never had the money to throw a birthday party for him. Obviously, the boy had attended the birthday parties of his friends, had eaten birthday cake, taken part in party games, and watched his peers open presents.
But he’d never had the experience himself.
That was until this year, when young Angel’s teacher and classmates decided to do something extremely special for him.
Yep, you’ve likely guessed it, they went out of their way to stage a surprise birthday party for Angel’s eighth birthday – and waited inside their classroom ready to give him the shock of his life.
Angel had no idea, so was stunned into silence when he entered his classroom to be met with everyone singing Happy Birthday at him.
A few seconds later Angel broke down in tears of happiness – it was a moment he’ll likely remember fondly for the rest of his life.
Fortunately, the surprise was captured on camera, giving people online the chance to witness Angel’s heartwarming reaction to his class’ spontaneous birthday celebrations.
