Diddy’s chilling response to JLo resurfaces amid sex trafficking trial

An old Jimmy Kimmel Live! clip featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs has resurfaced online following the music mogul’s recent arrest on serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

The interview, which aired less than a year ago, shows Diddy caught off guard by a question about a viral internet rumor involving his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez and actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Kimmel was referencing a claim made by someone who said they once worked as Diddy’s security guard.

“I saw a guy on the internet the other day,” he said to Diddy. “He said he used to be your security guard. He said that when you were dating J.Lo, Will Smith and Jada tried to pick her up for a threesome, and you were going to beat up Will Smith. Is that true?”

Diddy paused before replying with a smile, “Well, this show has gotten crazier since the last time I was here.”

After a bit more prompting, he denied the rumor outright: “No! No, you really heard that?”

Diddy and Jennifer Lopez were romantically linked from 1999 to 2001. They also collaborated musically, most notably on the 2000 remix of Lopez’s Feelin’ So Good. The resurfaced clip has gained renewed attention in light of Diddy’s legal troubles, which have dominated headlines since his arrest in 2024.

The 54-year-old founder of Bad Boy Records now faces multiple charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution-related activities. Diddy has denied all allegations.

His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, addressed the press outside the New York courthouse:
“Mr. Combs is a fighter; he’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid of the charges.”

Agnifilo added: “There’s nothing the government presented today that changes anyone’s mind about anything. He’s been looking forward to this day, to clearing his name, and we’ll stand by him as he does.”

Jennifer Lopez, who was recently a topic of discussion following her short-lived 2022 marriage to (and divorce from) Ben Affleck, with whom she was previously engaged in the early 2000s.

However, in a 2003 interview with Vibe Magazine (as reported by Newsweek), she reflected on her past relationship with Diddy: “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin.”

Diddy’s trial is currently ongoing, with his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura expected to appear for a fourth day on the witness stand.
