Trump questions timing of Biden’s cancer with 6-word conspiracy theory

At first, Donald Trump offered some surprisingly supportive words to Joe Biden following his aggressive cancer diagnosis.

But by Monday, his tone had shifted — with the former president questioning why the public hadn’t been informed about Biden’s condition ”a long time ago.

Spreading to the bones

Former President Joe Biden’s announcement that he’s battling prostate cancer came as a shock to much of the world. While Biden has faced health challenges in the past — including surviving other forms of cancer — this time, the disease is reportedly aggressive and has metastasized to the bone.

How Biden will respond to treatment remains to be seen. However, according to a statement from his team, ”the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”

Speaking with the BBC, Dr William Dahut, the Chief Scientific Officer at the American Cancer Society and prostate cancer physician, said that if cancer spreads to the bones, they “in general” don’t consider it “curable.”

However, he also stated that most respond positively to the treatment, and that one can live “many years” with the diagnosis.

Many offered heartfelt well-wishes to Joe Biden and his family following his cancer announcement — but not everyone was focused on support. Some couldn’t help but question the timing of the news, particularly Biden’s political opponents.

6-word conspiracy theory

One of the most vocal critics was Donald Trump Jr., who reposted a message aimed at First Lady Jill Biden — a respected educator who holds a doctorate. In the post, he questioned how Dr. Biden could have overlooked such a serious diagnosis, going as far as to suggest it might be “yet another coverup.”

Now, Donald Trump is also joining the wave of voices casting doubt on Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis — and he’s not pulling any punches.

Speaking during a press conference on Monday, Trump claimed he was surprised the public hadn’t been informed sooner.

“I think to get to stage 9, I think that, if you look, it’s the same doctor who said that Joe was cognitively fine,” Trump said. ”I think that if you look, it’s the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine. There was nothing wrong with him,” Trump said. ”Maybe it was the same doctor, and somebody is not telling the facts.”

Trump also said that while he felt ”badly” about it and added:

”I think people should try and find out what happened”.

”Very sad”

Of course, cancer doesn’t technically have a “stage 9.” Biden’s diagnosis was for prostate cancer, described in an official statement as “characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

Some experts claim that the former president could’ve had the disease for years. Speaking with News Nation, Urologist Dr David Shusterman explained that Biden received the best healthcare and was surrounded by some of the world’s best experts while in office.

Shusterman added that the metastasizing cancer Biden has could have taken years to develop to its current state.

“This is what I typically would see in a VA hospital, where a patient hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer,” Shusterman said Sunday.

Despite referring to the news as “very sad,” Trump used the moment to highlight his own clean bill of health.

“I underwent a comprehensive physical, including cognitive tests. I’m proud to announce I aced it. I got them all right,” he said, then added with a pointed glance at reporters, “If I didn’t get them all right, these people would be after me. It wouldn’t be a good situation.”

He went further, suggesting that presidential candidates should be required to take cognitive assessments — a clear dig amid ongoing debates about age and fitness in the 2024 election that ultimately led to Biden dropping out of the race.
