Adult star Sophie Rain built a fortune on OnlyFans, banking over $85 million in less than two years – but it wasn’t her earnings that shocked people. In October 2025, the 21-year-old donated six figures to feed hungry families, and the reason behind her generosity sent the internet into a frenzy.
After losing her job as a waitress, Sophie Rain launched her launched her OnlyFans account in late 2023, and has since become one of the platform’s most recognizable – and successful – creators.
“I almost made more than LeBron [James] last year,” the 21-year-old Florida woman joked in August 2025, per E! News. “He made $56 million, I made $43 [million].”
But despite her fortune, Rain – “still a virgin,” according to her interview with Fox – hasn’t forgotten where she came from.
Fighting hunger
In September 2025, the model launched a one-day fundraising campaign she called #GoonForGood, pledging to donate every dollar she made on Sept. 30 to Feeding America, a nonprofit network fighting hunger in the United States.
The organization, the largest hunger-relief organization in the country, claims on its website that “it turns $1 into at least 10 meals.”
“I decided from the start that 100% of what I made would go straight to Feeding America,” Rain told People in an article published Nov. 1, 2025.
Started as ‘birthday thing’
In just 24 hours, Rain – founder of Bop House, a Florida-based collective of female OnlyFans creators who live and collaborate in a mansion to produce social media content – raised a staggering $121,000, enough to help provide approximately 1.2 million meals to families in need.
She had no idea the campaign, that started as a lighthearted joke, would turn into a viral movement with real impact.
“It started as a birthday thing,” she explained. “Honestly, I joked with fans that we could ‘goon for good’ and raise money while doing what they were already doing.”
Her motivation, however, was anything but a joke.
Grew up ‘very poor’
Rain shared that her decision to support Feeding America was rooted in her own childhood experiences with food insecurity.
“I know what it’s like to open the fridge and not have much there. I know what it’s like to see your parents stress about groceries and make the choice between paying rent or feeding the family,” she told the outlet.
In an earlier interview with People, the multi-millionaire star, who growing up attended church every Sunday with her strict Christian parents, explained that she was raised in poverty, with her family often relying on food stamps to make ends meet.
“All I wanted to do was help my family. I watched them growing up, very poor, struggling to pay bills, living paycheck to paycheck. So that is what motivates me as well, my parents struggling,” she said in December 2024. “I wanted to change that.”
That hardship, she said, shaped her desire to give back to families facing the same daily struggles.
“Food insecurity doesn’t care what job you have or who you are. As long as I continue to make money, I will continue to donate,” she added.
Respectable donation
Since launching her OnlyFans page in late 2023, Rain has grossed over $85.4 million, with her management team expecting that number to reach $110 million by year’s end – a milestone that would make her the highest-earning creator on the platform.
And to the critics who question the mix of adult content and philanthropy, Rain said: “The judgment doesn’t matter. You don’t need to be ‘respectable’ to make a difference.”
