It’s been five years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the Royal Family. The couple moved to Montecito, California, after a short stint in Toronto, and it appears that living in Canada had a significant impact on Harry.
Meghan recently posted a video of her celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ win over Harry’s team, the Toronto Blue Jays, in the World Series. However, critics now accuse the Duchess of faking the clip.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives are very different from the ones they were used to within the Royal Family. While they have tried different business ventures after leaving the Firm in 2020, living in the US has, most likely for Harry, also been about finding new interests. One of those appears to be baseball.
Hary and Meghan lived in Toronto for a short while before finding their forever home in Montecito, California, about a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles. The couple has been seen out on dates at concerts and sporting events in the greater LA area several times.
Last week, they appeared in the front row as they watched the Los Angeles Dodgers play the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series. Days later, the Dodgers won the World Series, but for the final game, Harry and Meghan watched it at home.
After Meghan’s home team from Los Angeles beat Harry’s Blue Jays, she posted a video of herself celebrating the win, jumping and cheering. Meanwhile, Harry appeared disappointed, sitting in a chair in the background.
Meghan Markle slammed for “fake” Dodgers celebration
But the black-and-white video didn’t receive quite the response Meghan probably expected. Instead, many accused the former actress of faking the clip.
As she posted the video on Instagram, some users took to the comments to express their anger toward the Duchess, claiming she “staged” it.
“Totally normal to set a camera up recording yourself for another forced narrative when you’re Meghan Markle. Cringe-o-rama again,” one user wrote, per Express.
Another user asked, “Does Harry realise she is recording his every move inside his own home and can easily release the footage when it suits her?”
“So staged! She looks absolutely ridiculous”, whereas another wrote, “So FAKE and CRINGE! Makes me want to hurl,” a third commented.
