An adult content creator was stunned to find a familiar name among her OnlyFans subscribers – a close family member who had been secretly paying for her explicit content, leaving her “sick to her stomach.”
Like many during the pandemic, Sharna Beckman faced sudden unemployment. After losing her job as a dental assistant in Australia, the now 28-year-old turned to content creation on OnlyFans – a move that would dramatically change her life.
In a short time, Beckman rose to prominence as an adult creator. She’s since built a lucrative business on the platform, now reportedly earning a six-figure income every month, according to the New York Post.
“I mean, it’s not for everyone. I know a lot of girls that can’t really handle the industry because you get mean comments, but I’ve got pretty tough skin,” Beckman told the outlet in March 2024.
But with success came a moment she never saw coming.
Creepy subscriber
As Beckman’s subscriber base grew, she regularly scanned her list of fans and paying followers. That’s when a name jumped out – one she never expected to see.
Her cousin.
Beckman later revealed that he had been subscribing to her account and buying explicit content for over two months before she realized who it was, according to Yahoo Lifestyle.
When she confronted him, his explanation left her stunned.
“He tried telling me that it wasn’t him, it was his actually his friend, who was married, so couldn’t use his own name or credit card,” she told the outlet about her cousin, who’s in his 30s. “My cousin apparently kindly offered to share his name and credit card to allow this other guy to join my page.”
Poor excuses
Beckman wasn’t buying it. She challenged her cousin, demanding an explanation for why he would sign up for her OnlyFans – and then go even further by paying for X-rated content.
But there was nothing he could say to excuse his actions – the damage was already done.
She immediately removed him from her OnlyFans account and blocked his phone number, cutting all digital ties.
“I just don’t get why he would subscribe in the first place and then use his real name. Like, did he want me to know it was him? And then what?” Beckman said.
‘Sick to my stomach’
“I was honestly sick to my stomach and too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. I didn’t want to cause any awkwardness between the families,” she said, adding the pair frequently caught up at family get-togethers.
Still feeling uncomfortable about what happened, Beckman said she now makes excuses to skip family events, and hasn’t told her family about the situation, fearing it would create drama.
“I didn’t tell my family as I didn’t want to cause drama between everyone, I felt super awkward about it already, I just make up excuses now when it comes to family events to not go,” Beckman, a July 2025 Penthouse Pet, shared.
“I think it will cause some drama and that he will probably deny it and make me look like a liar.”
Stepdad a top-paying customer
Disturbingly, Beckman’s experience isn’t the only time an OnlyFans creator has been secretly followed by a family member.
In a separate incident reported by the New York Post, another Australian adult content creator discovered her stepfather was not only subscribed to her OnlyFans – he was her top-paying customer.
Posting under the TikTok username @Ta1laaa, the New South Wales-based model revealed that her mother’s partner had spent about $1,000 US on her content and had even made custom video requests.
“When I caught him, he denied it to all of his friends, and obviously my mom got rid of him straight away,” she said. “But yeah, if you want to talk about family trauma, my stepdad watched me have sex with my partner for two months.”
These incidents reveal how the lines between personal and professional life can blur in uncomfortable ways. For some creators, the most difficult challenges don’t come from the public, but from the people they least expect.
