Being comfortable in one’s body is very important. While society — and, in latter years, social media — often create stereotypes about how you should look, it shouldn’t be seen as proof or the right way to be.
However, in some cases, it’s hard to make something about it. For example, like this 26-year-old who was born with a micropenis, and experienced a heartbreaking two-word response from a woman he was dating.
Micropenis is not normal. According to the Cleveland Clinic, 1,5 of every 1,000 newborns in the US are born with a micro-penis, which means a penis less than 1.9 centimeters. n size at birth.
“Micropenis can occur on its own, but it often accompanies other health problems due to hormonal disorders or congenital (present at birth) conditions. Your child’s symptoms will depend on the cause of the micropenism,” the Cleveland Clinic writes.
“Some people with micropenises may have a lower sperm count, but this isn’t always the case.”
In total, 0,6 percent of everyone in the world has a micro-penis, with one of the reasons being not getting enough testosterone during fetal development.
26-year-old with a micropenis tells heartbreaking story
Sadly, some with micro-penises have had horrifying experiences where it has become a huge problem and lowered their self-esteem to zero. Even so, some have said they don’tä mind their lover or partner having a penis which is an inch or two.
Sadly, most of these stories are told in the context of sexual intercourse. Now, a 26-year-old has told a heartbreaking story.
On Joe Santagato and Greg Dybec’s podcast, Other People’s Lives, the 26-year-old revealed how a woman told him two heartbreaking words when finding out he had a micropenis.
The man, who is anonymous, explained that he had already realized, as a child, that it was different. As he grew up, dating got tricky, and his self-esteem sank even lower. The 26-year-old said on the podcast that he was “nervous and scared,” and therefore “cut” dating off.
“That’s how it was for a long time. Still is, to be honest,” he said on Other People’s Lives, adding that he felt he couldn’t commit to a more serious relationship.
However, one time, he felt he needed to try. He said on the podcast that he had revealed his micropenis to this woman, whom he had “proper feelings for.”
“I don’t blame a woman for thinking, ‘I don’t want this.’”
While she tried being kind, the 26-year-old explained that the woman “knew it was terrible.” They stayed friends, but nothing else.
“She tried her hardest not to tell me,” he continued. “But she’s an honest person as well, and I could tell… I don’t blame a woman for thinking, ‘I don’t want this.’ I don’t blame that at all.”
As they were watching a movie at the cinema, and a sexual scene played, the woman said, “Oh, I’m scared now, I’m nervous,” which the man felt was heartbreaking.
“She’s never dealt with something like this before… so obviously, now it’s her head. She’s scared, and I [start] to feel bad for them,” the 26-year-old concluded on Other People’s Lives, saying that the relationship ended “pretty badly.”
