Millions of music lovers worldwide are still mourning the death of Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July, aged 76.
But of course, the ones hurting the most are Ozzy’s own family.
Now, his wife Sharon Osbourne is opening up about the rock legend’s final words.
Ozzy knew
The news of Ozzy Osbourne’s death broke millions of hearts around the world. The iconic musician passed away at 76 in his Buckinghamshire home, with his family releasing a statement saying he died “surrounded by love.” His death came only 17 days after performing with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK.
“That show meant everything,” one source told People.
“It brought his career full circle.”
According to Sharon, Ozzy’s doctor tried to warn him. The lead physician told him, “If you do this show, that’s it. You’re not going to get through it.” Sharon explained that Ozzy understood the risk — going through with the performance could very well cost him his life.
And that’s exactly what happened.
On July 30, Ozzy was laid to his final rest. A funeral procession was held in his hometown, where Sharon appeared alongside their children, Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, as well as Ozzy’s son from his first marriage, Louis Osbourne.

Before his passing, the ”Crazy Train” rocker and Sharon had moved back to the UK so he could spend his final months in the country he loved most, a wish he had long expressed.
Now, five months after losing him, Sharon is speaking publicly about her husband’s final moments.
In an interview with Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Uncensored, she shared that doctors had warned Ozzy, who had been battling Parkinson’s disease, that performing again could be fatal.
He was having dreams
One doctor even told him that if he attempted the show, “that’s it, you’re not gonna get through it. … He didn’t want to die on stage, he didn’t.”
Sharon also revealed that in the week leading up to his death, Ozzy told her he had been “having dreams… seeing people that he never knew,” adding that “he knew. He was ready.”
She went on to recall the terrifying moment she discovered him collapsing. “He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone’.” Sharon said she recognized immediately that he had passed, despite repeated efforts to revive him both at home and later at the hospital. “He’s gone. Just leave him.”

Sharon also spoke about their final hours together. She explained that he had been restless during the night, frequently getting up, and around 4:30 a.m., he woke her. “Wake up.” When she responded, he told her, “Kiss me.” Then, “Hug me tight.”
She tearfully admitted she wonders if she could have done more: “If only I’d have told him I loved him more. If only I’d have held him tighter.” After that, Ozzy went downstairs, exercised briefly, and passed away soon after.
On The Osbournes podcast, the family also spoke about coping with their loss. Sharon became emotional describing a voicemail she received from President Donald Trump.
Kelly shared that the overwhelming support from fans “had been so helpful,” and Sharon added that Ozzy would have been stunned by the outpouring: “He wouldn’t believe it. He wouldn’t. He didn’t realize how much he was loved… He never took it for granted. He had no idea.”
Rest in peace, Ozzy Osbourne. Please share this article to honor the “Prince of Darkness.”
