Candace Owen has become known for promoting conspiracy theories. Now, she’s continued her crusade regarding the murder of Charlie Kirk – and launches a bombshell attack on the widow, Erika Kirk.
For a month, Candawe Oown has spent a lot of airtime talking about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The conservative influencer was killed in October at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University.
Owens, who used to work for Turning Point USA, had a great relationship. Per CBS, the two were “generally considered friends,” as Owens had described their relationship as like “brother and sister.”
In the months after Kirkr’s death, Candade Owens has repeatedly pushed conspiracy theories about his death. She’s insinuated that anyone from someone within Turning Point USA to the state of Israel was involved in the shooting.
Now, Owens has shared a new video that includes allegedly leaked audio from just weeks after Charkie Kirk was fatally shot. In the video, his widow, Etika, is heard laughing and discussing merchandise sales.
“It is the general tone that is off-putting, it is the laughter that is off-putting, we are not even two weeks after watching your husband be assassinated,” Owens said.
Candace Owens launched Erika Kirk attack over ‘leaked audio’ after Charlie’s death
Candace Owens rhetoric surrounding Charlie Kirk’s death has been questioned by many, including Erika Kirk. The two reportedly met privately for 4 hours in December, which Erika hoped would put an end to their feud.
Still, the conservative YouTuber and conspiracy theorist has maintained and continued to push the narrative that Charlie Kirk was “betrayed” by those close to him.
Some days ago, Owens focused on Erika Kirk’s behavior in the weeks after the horrifying murder. She stated that Erika’s tone during calls with the Turning Point USA staff “makes my skin crawl.”
The calls allegedly took place as employees worked grueling 20-hour days in the aftermath of the shooting. In one recording, after staff mention dealing with “50,000 hat orders” and more than 300,000 new donors, a voice Owens claims is Erika’s describes the situation as a “blessing.”
“It’s weird to say that I’m excited — I really hesitate to say that,” the voice says. “It’s really hard to say that… but it comes from a place of peace, knowing that God’s using this and we are humbly witnessing the gospel in real time.”
“Felt zero shame”
On X, Candace Owens took another swing at Erika and Turning Point USA, claiming, “I’m still stuck on the fact that Turning Point raised a quarter billion over a few months and felt zero shame attacking YouTubers for making ‘thousands of dollars’ discussing the flaws of the investigation.”
She concluded, “The shamelessness of that PR strategy is absolutely wild to reflect on.”
