Family of Stephen Hawking breaks silence after photo appears in Epstein files

Stephen Hawking’s family has spoken out after a photo surfaced in the recently released Epstein files, showing him alongside two women in bikinis.

The photo was reportedly taken in 2006 while Hawking attended a science symposium at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in St. Thomas, where he gave a speech on quantum cosmology.

In the image, Hawking is seated in what appears to be a sunlounger with a cocktail. Two women in bikinis are beside him, holding drinks, and one appears to steady his glass. The identities of the women are unknown.

Hawking was among 21 leading scientists at a conference hosted by Jeffrey Epstein on Little St. James Island and nearby St. Thomas. According to the Jeffrey Epstein VI Foundation, the event included opportunities to “discuss, relax on the beach, and take a trip to the nearby private island retreat” to explore questions such as the definition of gravity, as reported by The Independent.

Since the image surfaced, it has sparked debate online, according to VT, but Hawking’s family has strongly rejected any insinuations of wrongdoing. A spokesperson told the Mirror:
“Professor Hawking made some of the greatest contributions to physics in the 20th century while at the same time being the longest-known survivor of motor neurone disease, a debilitating condition which left him reliant on a ventilator, voice synthesiser, wheelchair and round-the-clock medical care. Any insinuation of inappropriate conduct on his part is wrong and far-fetched in the extreme.”

Hawking was photographed multiple times during the trip, but he and Epstein were never photographed together.

The Cambridge professor, who passed away in 2018 at 76, appears at least 250 times in the Epstein files. While being mentioned in the documents does not imply any wrongdoing, it has raised questions. Hawking was never accused of any crimes related to Jeffrey Epstein.
