The woman was Trinity Rodman, the 24-year-old soccer star who showed up at Flushing Meadows to support Shelton during his US Open run.
Rodman wore a custom black crop top while cheering from the player box, and cameras repeatedly captured her dancing, smiling, and celebrating as Shelton fought his way through the match.
Shelton eventually defeated Hurkacz in four sets, sending the eighth-seeded American into the third round.

She was selected second overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2021 NWSL Draft at just 18 years old and quickly made an impact, earning NWSL Rookie of the Year honors.
She also helped the club win the league championship and went on to become a regular member of the United States women’s national team.
Her international breakthrough came at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she made her Olympic debut and scored the USWNT’s opening goal of the tournament.
