British model Penny Lane is going viral after a recent runway appearance at Miami Swim Week left social media users declaring her the “most beautiful woman alive.”
The 31-year-old English model became one of the event’s biggest talking points after walking in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show on Saturday, May 30. Clips of her runway appearance quickly spread online, prompting thousands of reactions.
Penny has built an international career centered around body positivity. She first gained major recognition after co-winning the Sports Illustrated Swim Search casting call in 2023. She was later named the publication’s 2024 Rookie of the Year and returned for its 2025 Switzerland feature, according to Bored Panda.
Although Lane previously walked for Sports Illustrated during Miami Swim Week in both 2024 and 2025, this year’s appearance generated significantly more attention online.

She also attended Miami Swim Week VIP events wearing a red gown featuring a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. On the runway, she modeled a shimmering crimson-toned two-piece ensemble.
She later reflected on the viral moment in a post on Instagram: “Back in Black! One of my favorite moments from Miami Swim Week. Can you tell I’m having the best time of my life?” she wrote.
Toward the end of the video, Lane made a rock-and-roll hand gesture, later joking about the moment: “Not sure what came over me to throw the signs at the end,” she wrote, according to Bored Panda.
