In recent months, Anne Hathaway has been traveling the world to promote The Devil Wears Prada 2. Just days ago, she announced her pregnancy. Fans now realize how the Academy Award-winning actress managed to hide her pregnancy during her appearances leading up to the announcement.
Anne Hathaway is reprising her role as Andy Sachs in the sequel to the iconic, critically acclaimed The Devil Wears Prada. The actresses, alongside Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt, are all in the second film, and over the last few months, they have traveled the world to promote it.
In fact, Anne Hathaway even did a small sketch during the Academy Awards, then together with former Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, whose role is said to be inspired by.
When on stage at the Oscars, Hathaway nervously asked Wintour, “Anna, just curious…what do you think of my dress tonight?”
Anna Wintour replied simply, “And the nominees for best costume design are….”
The former Editor in Chief then called Anne Emily, a reference to her character in The Devil Wears Prada.
In early May, Anne Hathaway attended the Met Gala, where she was asked how the hectic life suits her. Besides the Devil Wears Prada promotional tour, she has also released the film Mother Mary.
Anne Hathaway shares pregnancy news
“I mean, who’s luckier than us? My thing about it is, when you get a little bit tired, I’m like, ‘Do you like the reason that you’re tired?’ And I appreciate it because I’m sure some people don’t love the reason that they’re tired,” she told the outlet at that time, the Academy Award-winning actress told Vogue.
While traveling and always showing off the best side of yourself can be tiring, for Anne Hathaway, it has been another beautiful thing that also needs to be taken care of.
On June 19, she revealed that she and Adam Shulman are expecting their third baby. An industry source told People Magazine that, during the world press tour for the upcoming sequel to The Devil Wears Prada in April and May, Hathaway kept the pregnancy a secret. This press tour occurred before the public announcement.

“She did her entire Devil Wears Prada 2 tour around the world quietly pregnant. Her work ethic is unbelievable,” the source told People. “She’s a superhero.”
Fans are delighted by Anne Hathaway’s return to the iconic The Devil Wears Prada. And now that she has revealed her pregnancy, fans are beginning to realize how she managed to hide it during the film’s worldwide promotional tour.
Fans are just realizing how Anne Hathaway hide her pregnancy
The actress relied on a clever combination of fashion choices and filming techniques to maintain the illusion. Flowing designer gowns, oversized silhouettes, structured coats, and carefully positioned camera angles were reportedly used throughout the shoot.
“Her outfits were carefully selected to sort of cover the belly area. Props to the stylist,” one person wrote.
A second added, “Smart PR timing and careful styling. Hollywood pros know how to keep things private even under a microscope.”
While Anne Hathaway managed to keep the news under wraps, some fans are now convinced the signs were there all along. At the Louis Vuitton Cruise show in New York in late May, the 43-year-old actress wore a flowing gray dress with puffy sleeves and an ankle-length hem.
Looking back, several photos appeared to reveal a subtle baby bump — though hardly anyone seemed to notice at the time.

“Where was this belly a few days ago during The Devil Wears Prada press tour?” one shocked fan asked.
“A winner in life”
Another explained that every pregnancy is different.
“Styling can do a lot, and every pregnancy looks different. Some women look pregnant early, some don’t show until they’re nearly full term,” one user wrote.
Another fan summed it up perfectly, writing, “All those movies she has recently done and pregnant??? A winner in life, in my opinion.”
