Michigan State Police are asking for the public’s help after the body of a newborn baby was found inside a portable toilet at the Electric Forest music festival in Michigan over the weekend.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have seen something unusual during the event to come forward as they work to determine what happened, according to VT.
According to police, the baby’s body was discovered Sunday morning in a portable restroom located in the festival’s camping area. The discovery was made by an employee with the restroom service company while performing routine maintenance.
Electric Forest kicked off Thursday, June 25, at Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury and wrapped up Sunday, June 28, featuring a lineup of EDM artists. Authorities announced the discovery on the festival’s final day but have released few details about the case.
Officials have not shared the newborn’s exact age or any additional information about the circumstances surrounding the death. They did, however, stress that there is no known threat to the public.
