Newly released 911 dispatch audio has revealed the terrifying final moments before Oklahoma influencer Sara Gilson was shot and killed by her estranged husband.
Sara Gilson, 43, was found dead alongside her estranged husband Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, 48, at a home in Collinsville, Oklahoma in the early hours of July 23 in what police say appears to be a murder-suicide.
The dispatch audio, obtained by TMZ, captures the frantic moments as emergency services scrambled to respond. A dispatcher can be heard telling responding officers: “I’m trying to reach him back, but I could hear a female in the background screaming and crying. Some sort of loud bang in the background.”
Dispatchers attempted to call back but received no answer.
Moments later Gilson’s son called 911 from a neighbor’s house and told dispatchers his stepfather had shot his mother.
Duffey previously investigated for kissing a juvenile
The dispatch audio also contains a chilling detail that adds context to Gilson’s public accusations against her husband. A dispatcher is heard apparently referencing Duffey by “a male that we were looking for a few weeks ago after he got caught kissing a juvenile.”
Gilson had publicly accused Duffey of pedophilia in a TikTok video posted just twelve days before her death. She had also been granted a restraining order against him in the weeks prior to the shooting.
Police confirmed both deaths appear to be a murder-suicide. The investigation remains ongoing. Gilson leaves behind two children.
