Marjorie Taylor Greene marries in stunning gown — but her wedding shoes stole the show

Marjorie Taylor Greene may have looked every inch the bride in a beautiful white lace gown, but it was what she wore underneath the dress that quickly became one of the biggest talking points from her Las Vegas wedding.

The former congresswoman married conservative journalist Brian Glenn on Tuesday, July 28, during an intimate ceremony at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Surrounded by family and close friends, the couple exchanged vows on the hotel’s Terrazza di Sogno terrace with the famous Bellagio fountains providing a dramatic backdrop.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s bridal look was traditional at first glance. She wore a sleeveless white gown with delicate lace details, a fitted bodice and a flowing asymmetrical skirt. She accessorized with layered necklaces, earrings, a bracelet and an elegant updo, while carrying a bouquet of white, pink and red roses.

But then came the surprise.

The bride ditched the heels

As Greene and Glenn continued celebrating inside the Bellagio casino after the ceremony, photographs captured the bride walking among the slot machines and gaming tables with her family and guests.

And when Greene lifted part of her flowing skirt, something unexpected was revealed:

She was wearing white sneakers with her wedding dress.

Rather than spending the night struggling through a pair of traditional bridal heels, Greene appeared to have chosen comfort, and the casual footwear immediately caught the attention of people online.

Photos showed the sneakers peeking out from beneath the dramatic asymmetrical gown as the newlyweds made their way through the casino.

The unusual combination of an elegant lace wedding dress and everyday white sneakers sparked plenty of reactions online.

Some commenters poked fun at the unconventional choice, while others seemed to appreciate the bride’s decision to prioritize comfort on a night that included walking around a busy casino floor.

And Greene certainly appeared to have no regrets.

The newlyweds were photographed laughing, cheering and trying their luck at the casino, with Greene reportedly playing craps for several minutes before moving on. At one point, she and Glenn celebrated enthusiastically after making it through their wedding festivities.

From wedding gown to casino floor

The Bellagio celebration was anything but a traditional quiet reception.

Still dressed in their wedding clothes, Greene and Glenn walked through the casino surrounded by family members and guests while a cameraman captured the festivities. They played craps, roulette and slot machines, turning their wedding night into something that looked more like a Las Vegas adventure.

The sneakers arguably made even more sense as the evening went on.

After all, Greene had gone from walking down the aisle to navigating a casino floor — and apparently wasn’t interested in letting uncomfortable heels get in the way.

The couple had obtained their marriage license on July 24 before tying the knot four days later. Greene later shared wedding photographs on social media, announcing that she and Glenn had said “I do” surrounded by their families.

The couple first crossed paths in 2022 and began dating the following year, after both had filed for divorce from their former spouses. Greene was previously married to Perry Greene, with whom she shares three children — Lauren, Derek and Taylor. Glenn was formerly married to Kerry Michelle Glenn.
