Actress Hayden Panettiere has died at age 36. Police say there are no signs of foul play, with TMZ reporting that the actress complained about health issues in her last days.
Police were called to the South Carolina home of Heroes star Hayden Panettiere on Sunday after receiving a report of an unresponsive woman.
The call came at around 1:51 p.m. from Judson Mill Lofts on Easley Bridge Road. An unidentified acquaintance reportedly made the 911 call. Panettiere, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later said that the preliminary investigation had found “no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.”
“Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“The case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call.”
Hayden Panettiere’s father confirmed the passing in a statement to the media.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden,” Skip Panettiere said. “She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and to the millions who watched her onscreen.”
The actress, who was a mum to one daughter, 11year-old Kaya, had been best known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville.
The 911 call came just one day after she left Los Angeles on Saturday, with her boyfriend, Brian Hickerson.
Complained about back pain
According to reports, the couple flew to South Carolina, a journey that can take around five hours — and even longer with a layover.
That means they may have only been in the area for a few hours when the tragic news was reported. Adding to the questions surrounding the situation, TMZ reported that Panettiere had complained about back pain during her final days.
The actress had reportedly struggled with the health issue in the past year and was recently captured on video walking with slight difficulty.
In May this year, Panettiere told Women’s Health: “I quite literally woke up and felt nothing but pins and needles from my waist down.
She continued, “I wasn’t able to bend my toes or lift my foot at all. No one was able to give me a solid answer.”‘
If it could be related to her death is still not known.
