But behind the glamorous appearances, their marriage eventually became increasingly complicated. The couple divorced in 2012 after five years together, with Holmes filing for divorce and seeking sole legal and primary residential custody of Suri.
Their split also drew attention because of their differing religious backgrounds and the prominent role of Scientology in Cruise’s life. But now, it seems Katie Holmes may have found room for love in her life again.
Holmes recently went public with a new romance, sharing a series of affectionate moments with a new man. It soon became clear that this wasn’t just anyone. Katie Holmes’ new love interest is a familiar name in the art world — New York artist Jason Brad Yarmosky.
Who is Katie Holmes new boyfriend?
Holmes and Yarmosky were first seen together publicly on July 10, 2026, when they attended a screening of The Invite, hosted by The Cinema Society at the Regal UA East Hampton.
Holmes turned heads in a green silk skirt covered in orange prints, paired with a long-sleeved white shirt, while Yarmosky kept things more casual in a fitted slate-gray shirt and black cargo pants.
But it was their chemistry that really caught people’s attention.
A bystander told People that the pair appeared completely comfortable with each other throughout the evening. “He was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing, they seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night,” the onlooker recalled.
“They sat together during the movie, she had her head on his shoulder at one point. They looked very cute.”
After the screening, the two continued the evening at the official afterparty at The Boat House in East Hampton.
The couple has since been photographed together in Italy, looking relaxed and very much at ease in each other’s company.
Holmes first made the relationship Instagram official on September 1, when she wished Yarmosky a happy birthday and called him “the best of the best.”
Just days later, the couple offered fans a glimpse into their romantic Italian getaway. Yarmosky shared photos from Lake Como, including one showing Holmes relaxing on a speedboat and another capturing the pair enjoying the stunning scenery.
Holmes followed with her own collection of vacation photos, showing herself hiking, taking in mountain views, sharing a kiss with Yarmosky and enjoying a candlelit dinner together.
But the romance wasn’t the only reason people were paying attention.
The announcement came shortly after Holmes’ daughter, Suri, reportedly made a quiet but significant change to her name, one that removed a very famous surname from the picture.
According to public voter registration records reported by Page Six, the 20-year-old was listed as Suri Noelle rather than Suri Cruise.
Suri is currently studying musical theater at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, and the name Noelle has already appeared professionally. She used it in the Playbill for her high school production of Head Over Heels and reportedly in her graduation program as well.
The choice of “Noelle” appears to have a personal meaning.
Holmes’ middle name is also Noelle, and a source told Page Six that Suri was “showing praise for her mother by using her middle name.” The source added that Suri “wants her own identity.”
Neither Holmes nor Tom Cruise has publicly commented on the reported name change.
Meanwhile, Holmes and Yarmosky have continued to make appearances together. In July, they were spotted holding hands at a screening in East Hampton, with a source describing them as “very cute” and saying they seemed comfortable together.
The 39-year-old Yarmosky is a New York-based artist whose work explores aging, time and memory. His paintings and drawings have been exhibited at museums including the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
A source close to Holmes told People that she finds Yarmosky “interesting” and has “always been drawn to people who are creative.”
“She loves being around people who are passionate about what they do,” the source added. “She enjoys learning and experiencing new things.”
Before Jason Brad Yarmosky, Holmes’ most recent known relationship was with musician Bobby Wooten III. The two were first spotted together in April 2022, but their romance reportedly ended later that year.
Before Wooten, Holmes was also linked to actor Jamie Foxx, with the pair keeping much of their relationship out of the public eye.
