Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the UK, and not every royal family member is happy about it. While Prince William is said to be furious, his wife, Kate Middleton, now faces a difficult new chapter. One royal expert warns she could pay the highest price.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the UK. The couple is said to have been staying with friends in the Cotswolds while they search for a new home, which, according to reports, has to be quite big considering Meghan’s demands.
Their return has sparked mixed emotions within the palace walls. Still, while King Charles is said to be happy about their return and William not, the king and future king agree on one thing: Harry and Meghan won’t be welcome back into the royal fold.
Still, the actual reason why the Sussexes ‘ return is not clear. And they are not expected to quietly settle into life in the UK.
Harry is already planning new charity appearances, including a dramatic skydiving fundraiser, while Meghan reportedly wants to rebuild her connections with British charities.
Even though they won’t be returning as members of the Royal Family, it creates a headache for the royals. And one who could be facing a very uncomfortable situation is Kate Middleton. Now, a royal expert has issued a warning to her, stating that her “new working royal year is shaping up to be hell.”
Kate Middleton issued brutal warning amid Harry & Meghan’s UK return
While William and Kate have spent years building a serious public image around their causes close to the eart including mental health and the environment, Harry and Meghan could easily steal the spotlight, she stated.
Writing at news.co.au, royal expert Daniela Elser warned that: “It does not appear the Sussexes have any plans to sit quietly in the shires to reclusively collect delphinium cuttings and rescue dogs.”
She added that both Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William could be lost in a sort of “Kardashian-ness of the Sussexes’ return.”
For Kate, the problem could become even more complicated within the royal family itself.
Who cares about some new clever-clogs solar panels or anxiety initiative when we could be focused on the juicy, human drama of the prodigal, reportedly uncontrite, son and his polarising lady wife who loves a social media post?” Elser wrote.
“Who wants to read about the Prince of Wales trying to save Scottish seaweed stocks when we could be reading about whether he should don his big boy pants and forgive Harry for having spent 400 pages of Spare rubbishing him like it was bin night? For telling the world his older brother thought a Nazi uniform was totes-hilar and casting William as an angry sod responsible for the tragic demise of their fraternal bond?”
“Would make her look worse”
Elser stated that Christmas could become a particularly tricky situation. Not least becasue Kate’s annual carol concert, which traditionally brings members of the wider royal family together.
If Harry and Meghan are left out, it could raise questions. But inviting them could put Kate in the middle of the family drama once again.
“Leaving Harry and Meghan off the guest list is one thing, but Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet? To do so would make her look worse than if she was sporting a dalmatian fur coat,” the royal expert said
However, there is more: Princess Diana. Next year marks 30 years since Diana’s tragic death, and Harry is reportedly working on a documentary about his mother.
Elser claimed that it could reignite old tensions between the brothers, with both William and Harry potentially facing intense scrutiny over their relationship with Diana and her legacy.
Drama returns?
Also, for Kate, it means another difficult balancing act. She could find herself caught between protecting the future king, maintaining family unity, and dealing with renewed attention surrounding Harry and Meghan.
It’s safe to say that Prince Harry and Meghan’s reentrance in the UK will also mean the drama is back. And that is something that Prince William, Kate Middleton and the rest of the royal famly has been spared of for years. Perhaps it ends now .
