There’s less than a month to go until Christmas, when we’ll gather with our loved ones to dine, socialize, and often, do some catching up.
But not everyone is lucky enough to have family or friends to spend Christmas with – and we are often too preoccupied with ourselves to notice it.
This promotional film from the German supermarket chain Edeka sends an incredibly important message – and several million people have already heard it.
If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend you do now.
Year after year, an old man is forced to spend Christmas alone – his children are simply too busy in their respective lives to visit him and spend the holidays with him.
But what happens next makes me tear up instantly when the film takes a sudden, devastating twist.
The conclusion however is a real eye-opener for all of us with elderly parents and busy lives – and serves as an important reminder of which of these counts most in life!
Christmas is celebrated with the heart, not the wallet. I think that this film symbolizes this perfectly. The most important thing we have is each other, and that we must never forget.
Please share this valuable message with everyone you know. If it gets a single person to value their loved ones more, it’s worth it.
