Little is more refreshing than a cool swim on a hot summer day. But not all of us can afford a very elaborate and expensive swimming pool in our own yard… And the bathtub alternative? Well, not as enticing.
Well here’s a guy that chose another option entirely: to build his very own pool in his own backyard.
With just a few pallets, some know-how, and great creativity, Torben Heather built his own over-ground pool. After publishing photos of his gorgeous creation on Facebook, it was shared hundreds of thousands of time. Can’t say I’m surprised – have a look at his awesome pool below!
To create his own swimming pool, Torben Heather began by laying out a plastic material on the ground so that the water wouldn’t leak. He then began to pile pallet after a pallet until he built a wall.
Here’s what it looked like after he set up all the pallets and bound everything together in the shape of a circle.
To prevent the water from leaking in the innovative pool he placed an insulator.
He then placed this blue sheet to cover the insulation, nailing it securely to the boards.
The outside of the pool required a little of extra work, but in the end it was a really stylish pool.
