If you have a brother or a sister, you probably know how strong, special and important the love between siblings can be.
But you may also have experienced how hard and lonely it can be without that person who had constantly been there for you through thick and thin.
In 2016, Tom Doerr moved from his family home in Chester, UK, and traveled to the US to start a new life.
Tom was thus separated from his younger brother Ollie who has Down syndrome. At around the same time, Ollie moved out of their childhood home to live on his own for the very first time.
Needless to say, his new sense of freedom felt wonderful – but Ollie missed his big brother more than anything else.
Because Tom was on the other side of the Atlantic, Ollie did not anticipate that he would see his brother for a while.
But a few days before Christmas 2016, a delivery van showed up outside Ollie’s house – and in it was a giant package…
At first, Ollie was quite confused by the large package. It was far too heavy to bring into his house. Tom and Ollie’s mother, who was present, encouraged Ollie to simply unwrap the box outside, right on their front lawn.
You may be able to already guess what the package contained… but make sure you watch the video below to confirm your suspicions.
All I can say is that Ollie’s reaction is just amazing, and this clip really, truly, warmed my heart!
