Sadly, we quite often tend to forget about our elderly relatives and don’t include them in our lives as much as we should. But when this women was getting married she didn’t hesitate a second when she asked her 89-year-old grandmother to be her bridesmaid. When I read about what happened next my heart just melts.
The time had come for Christine Quinn to get married. So she chooses to ask her beloved grandmother if she wanted to be a bridesmaid at her wedding.
And grandmother Betty of course accepted the request and it turned out to be a big success.
– She had the entire wedding party laughing with her words of wisdom and funny comments throughout the day, said Christine according to Bored Panda.
Betty also participated in the party after the wedding and stayed well into the night.
– You’re only as old as you feel and I feel young today, Betty said.
”Why would you want an old lady in your bridal party?” grandmother Betty asked her grandchild.
But Christine didn’t hesitate for a second: Of course her grandmother should participate.
”She just has an amazing sense of humor and outlook on life that I strive to emulate every day. Everyone loves her,” Christine says.
We’ll all grow old, but we don’t necessarily have to grow up!
I totally agree with Betty, age is just a number and we should always invite our elderly relatives when a party is coming up.
