Giant creature rushes toward beach – then a guy runs straight into the water

Last month, Dale Pearson and a friend caught something amazing on video near their home in Baja California, Mexico.

When they first spotted it off the coast, the giant creature was just a black dot. But when it swam closer to shore, the two guys ran into the water and were stunned to see what it really was.

At first, the two animal lovers wondered if the shark was a hammer shark, but when they got closer, they realized that it was an unbelievable 15-foot great white shark. The guys worried about the shark’s health since it was so close to shore and it also appeared to be wounded. But Dale reassured YouTube viewers who left comments worrying about the shark.

“It had total control over where it was and how deep of water it was in. After 30 minutes in the shallow water, the shark swam away under its own power and was seen for the next two days. Again, the shark swam away after 30 minutes. The darkness in the water is from sand and mud on the bottom being stirred up from its tail. It’s not blood. The video was reviewed by science professionals in great white shark research and they determined that the injury was not lethal and that the shark would recover,” Dale writes on YouTube, where over 3 million people have been enthralled by the clip.

It’s not every day that you come into such close contact with a great white and have a camera there to film it, too! Everyone (who dares) can watch the too-close-for-comfort video below and enjoy one of the world’s most majestic creatures from a safe distance.
