Woman attempts to take picturesque photo of lobster roll in Maine, gets a big surprise

Alicia Jessop, a sports law professor at Pepperdine University, recently attended a conference in Vermont and took the opportunity to fulfill one of her dreams.

She drove to Maine, one of seven states she had yet to visit, and set out to find herself a picturesque Maine landscape.

Alicia came across Nubble Lighthouse, and nearby there was a place that sold lobster rolls. Score! She purchased a sandwich – for $21.50 – and found a spot where she could document her snack.

“I was kind of like figuring out how to hold the lobster roll — Do I hold it long? Do I hide it wide? What angle should the lighthouse be in? — and then I just felt something move the lobster roll,” she told BuzzFeed News.

Before she knew it a seagull attacked her lobster roll.

“He flung my lobster everywhere and then his friends swooped in and had a nice little meal,” she said.

Somehow, Alicia was able to capture the exact moment the seagull swooped down and snagged her lobster roll, and she was gracious enough to share it with the internet.

It has since gone viral.

Did Alicia ever get to enjoy a lobster roll?

Despite the hefty price tag, Alicia walked back to the hut and after receiving no sympathy from an employee, purchased another $21.50 lobster roll.

She even got her photo with the sandwich.

“As I was driving through New Hampshire, I literally was thinking to myself, ‘What is this going to be like? Let’s visualize this moment because you’ve been waiting your entire life for this lobster roll. What is it going to feel like when you’re finally on the coast of Maine with it?'” she said. “Needless to say, I didn’t envision this.”

This photo is absolutely hilarious.

Alicia had a great attitude about a very unfortunate situation.
