California woman caught on camera throwing 7 puppies in dumpster

Woman caught on camera throwing 7 puppies in dumpster to die – now police need our help

Authorities are asking the public to help them identify a woman who threw a litter of puppies into a dumpster in Coachella, California.

According to reports, the incident occurred on April 18, when a woman was filmed pulling up behind an auto parts shop a little after 1 p.m. She then proceeded to place a black bag in a big dumpster, one which it later transpired contained a number of unfortunate pups.

The video has since been released by the Riverside County Department of Animal Services in the hope that someone can identify the culprit.

The film in question shows a woman dumping the bag into a dumpster before getting back into her vehicle and driving off.

A while later, a passerby happened to be rummaging through the trash when he stumbled upon the bag. The puppies were just 7-days-old, and so he quickly got them out before calling the police.

The woman pulled up in a Jeep behind the Napa Auto Parts at 49251 Grapefruit Blvd. shortly after 1 p.m. and was seen…

It turned out it was a good thing the stranger, named John, acted as quickly as he did. The officer that responded to the call told KTLA that the puppies, thought to be terrier mixes, wouldn’t have made it had they been left alone for much longer. On that particular day, the temperature was in the mid-90s outside of the dumpster.

As per Animal Services Commander Chris Mayer, the footage from the surveillance camera was difficult to watch.

“There is no excuse for dumping puppies,” he said.

“Especially in today’s age when we or other shelters would be willing to get these animals to foster parents or rescue partners.”

Now, according to KTLA, the The Animals Services officials are working together with the Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office to identify the woman. They’re asking that anyone who might have information calls the Department of Animal Services so that she can be brought to justice.

We don’t need to tell you that this is a truly despicable crime, and that the woman who dumped these innocent puppies needs to be identified.
