Members of the online community are blasting the new girlfriend of Alex Rodriguez, who was engaged to Jennifer Lopez only weeks before she rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck in April 2021.
Since his March 2021 split with JLo, the former slugger with the New York Yankees has been dating Jaclyn “Jac” Cordeiro, a Canadian fitness model, who internet users say “looks like a dude” and is a “step down” from his ex.

On March 9, 2020, Alex Rodriguez, affectionately known by MLB fans as A-Rod, shared a heartwarming post on Facebook, along with a clip showing him and Jennifer Lopez through the years.
He writes, “One year ago on a beach in the Bahamas…I was a nervous wreck, more nervous than my entire playing career, I got down on one knee and asked you a question… you said yes.
“Jennifer, every moment with you is a blessing…I am so lucky to be with you. Thank you for making my life better. I can’t wait to make more memories with you.”
Unfortunately in April 2021, the couple, who were together since 2017, announced there would be no more new memories as they were splitting.
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects,” they said in a joint statement. “Thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
The next month, JLo was spotted with her ex-Ben Affleck, who she separated from in 2003.
The stars of Gigli were married in July 2022 and JLo celebrated their two-year anniversary by serving Affleck divorce papers.
Meanwhile, A-Rod, the grand slam champ who retired from professional baseball in 2016, was taking things slow.
According to Page Six, Rodriguez, now 49, was romantically linked with Jaclyn “Jac” Cordeiro, a Canadian fitness instructor, in October 2022.
The two were pictured walking hand-in-hand on Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills.
“Friends say he’s very happy and enjoying [their] time together. He’s enjoying spending time with her. She’s great!” an insider told the outlet of the ESPN analyst and Cordeiro, who’s also a registered nurse.
‘She is beautiful’
On December 17, 2022, Jac – born on Valentine’s Day, 1980 – and A-Rod went Facebook official in a post that shows the new couple with Rodriguez’s two daughters that he shares with his ex-wife.
Since, the 14-time MLB All-Star has shared several photos with his new love and their blended family, which includes Jac’s two daughters from a past relationship.
Fans took the comments section on Instagram, praising his new girlfriend, many comparing her to Lopez.
“Better than J Lo – Jlo washed up – you dodged a bullet Alex,” writes one fan, while another shares, “She is more your type not arrogant old jlo (sic).”
A third pens, “She is beautiful, Jennifer without makeup is nothing special.”
‘Looks very masculine’
But not everyone expressed the same kind of fondness for the woman he’s now dating, one saying “she looks scary.”
“J-Lo is way sexier and more feminine. This one is rough, looking like a dude. But whatever makes you happy,” offers one critic. A second, following the same sentiment, says, “This blonde lady looks very masculine.”
A third netizen shares, “No man JLO was better [than] her!! [And] was too good for him,” while fourth writes, “Wow, someone took a step down…”
Another adds, “He can do way better than her. Most guys I know wouldn’t even look her way. Way below average she is.”
Defending the happy couple, one cyber fan offers, “All I know is these comments are so very rude. How horrible people can be. Beautiful couple. Enjoy each other.”
